Who is K&M Yachtbuilders?

To answer that question we have to go back in time a little bit. About 30 years ago, an aluminium yard started building sailing boats in the small Dutch town of Makkum.
In 1997 Eeuwe Kooi started his company Kooi Makkum in the adjacent facility. Together with one employee he did maintenance, storage and repairs on all sorts of yachts.
When the aluminium yard had to close due to their financial situation, Eeuwe decided to take over the yard together with his friend Mr. Mast, a well know yachtpainter. And so K(ooi)&M(ast) Yachtbuilders was born.

The aluminium yachts where still being contstructed in the 'old' facility and the installation/finish of the yachts took place in the Kooi Makkum facility.

In early 2007 Mr Mast decided to focus more on his growing yacht painting business and Mr Kooi continued the company by himself. But he does have 30 employees and about 10 free lancers helping him with that!
